Editorial board

The Editorial Board of Media Dialogues comprises academics, researchers, and practitioners representing the multidisciplinary fields of media studies, communication, journalism, political science, sociology, public relations, economics, law, and related areas of the social sciences and humanities. Board members share an ongoing interest in developing scholarly discourse on media, communication processes, social change, public dialogue, democratic participation, and the role of media systems in contemporary societies.

Media Dialogues supports international and regional academic cooperation by bringing together scholars from different research traditions, countries, and institutional backgrounds. The journal values diversity in research interests, methodological approaches, and geographic representation. Members of the Editorial Board contribute to the development of the journal by supporting its academic profile, strengthening its peer-review standards, recommending reviewers and thematic areas, and promoting the journal as an international forum for scholarly exchange.

The editorial staff of Media Dialogues work collaboratively with reviewers, authors, guest editors, and members of the Editorial Board in evaluating manuscripts submitted for publication consideration and in preparing accepted manuscripts for publication.

Editorial Board Responsibilities

The Editorial Board of Media Dialogues plays an important role in the academic development, international visibility, and quality assurance of the journal. Board members support the journal by strengthening its scholarly profile, promoting academic standards, and contributing to the development of international and regional research networks.

Editorial Board members serve as ambassadors for Media Dialogues by introducing the journal to colleagues, research networks, doctoral students, and conference participants as a publication outlet for high-quality scholarly work and as a resource for literature reviews in the fields of media, communication, journalism, public dialogue, political communication, and related disciplines.

Board members support the quality of the journal by identifying potential reviewers, recommending topics suitable for thematic issues, advising on the academic profile of the journal, and assisting the editors, when requested, in evaluating the suitability of manuscripts within their fields of expertise.

As an international open access journal, Media Dialogues contributes to the dissemination of scholarly research across national and disciplinary boundaries. The Editorial Board supports this mission by strengthening academic cooperation, encouraging responsible publishing practices, and promoting open scholarly dialogue on the role of media and communication in contemporary societies.
