<p>The author examines (up to) the present development con- cept at the global and national level, through the prism of the ideas of the world's leading economists. Stiglic advocates the concept of "pro- gressive capitalism" that would be based on a harmonious relations- hip between state and market. The Tyrol emphasizes the need to res- pect the common good and reconcile personal, group (private) and public interests. Piketti raises the problem of inequality in a society that creates capital and its logic and advocates the necessity of pro- gressive taxation. Brehman emphasizes the importance of the social function of the state and outlines the idea of universal basic income in society. Marijana Macukato emphasizes the importance of the entrep- reneurial function of the state.</p><p><strong>Key words:</strong> Global Development Model, Ideas of World Economists, State, Market</p>References
