Is the Instagram the Travelogue of the New Media?

<p>This work sees the virtual social network Instagram as a contemporary renaissance of the travelogues. The main thesis is that the writing about the journey on Instagram can be classified into the genre of the travelogue, as it meets the formal characteristics that this genre implies: the theme of the journey and the descriptive principle (Peković). Prior to being defined as such in this paper, millions of Instagram users, modern travel writers who base their legitimacy as first-class travelers to exotic countries, as well as guides through distant or foreign facts, everyday lives, events and details, making us readers who have the opportunity to participate in the discussion on the topic of their journey.</p>References
