This paper explores the impact of virtual reality (VR) on the future of media and communication. The study aims to investigate how VR technology affects various aspects of media and communication, including journalism, advertising, entertain-ment, and education. In addition, the research aims to provide insights into the po-tential benefits and challenges of VR in the media industry and identify the key fac-tors that may influence its adoption and integration into mainstream communication practices. In this context, the authors have comprehensively reviewed existing liter-ature. The findings suggest that VR has significant potential to transform the media industry, offering new ways to engage audiences, enhance storytelling, and create immersive experiences. However, several challenges, such as cost, accessibility, and ethical concerns, need to be addressed to ensure the widespread adoption of VR. The research concludes by providing recommendations for media organizations and content creators to effectively leverage the potential of VR and capitalize on the op-portunities it presents.
