Description

Vol. 17, No. 1 of Media Dialogues / Medijski dijalozi is a thematic issue devoted to the role of information in economic, institutional, social and communication processes. The articles published in this issue examine information as a resource, signal, factor of economic behaviour, instrument of reputation building, condition of decision-making and component of public relations practice in contemporary societies.

The issue brings together studies situated at the intersection of information economics, public relations, media convergence, intercultural communication, institutional analysis, digital transformation and business ethics. The articles address topics such as transformational public relations, information as a factor of economic behaviour, intercultural communication in Arab countries, the country-of-origin effect in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, communication competencies in internal auditing, the transformation of the music market, ethical challenges of business decision-making in the light of information generated by artificial intelligence, and public relations ethics as a foundation of professional standards in a changing media and technological environment.

The thematic coherence of this issue results from its focus on the Poznan School of Information Economics and Econocentric Public Relations, whose concepts provide a common analytical framework for the published contributions. It is a collection of peer-reviewed scholarly articles prepared within a joint research initiative. The research perspectives introduced here are expected to be further developed and systematized in a forthcoming series of Polish-language scholarly monographs devoted to the Poznan School of Information Economics.
